This edition of the database (prerelease version) needs registration and includes curtailed version of great work which is devoted to taxonomy, fauna, ecology and biology of East European butterflies. Complete version of the work includes the complete survey and identification guide to 319 species (378 taxons are considered in details, including subspecies) of butterflies, that are residing in Norway (Finnmark Province), Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Belarus, Poland, Ukraine, Moldavia, European Russia (including all North Caucasus administrative units), and Western Kazakhstan (Ural and Atyrau Regions). Due to the database is acquainted with complete version of the work and advertises it, you can find complete check-list of taxons and synonyms, but only some of them are completely described and illustrated. In each family we have chosen one subfamily and for its representatives (50 taxons) we left all texts, illustrations and distributional maps. You can test possibility of the key (the Key section) by their example. For all East European representatives in this version of the database were saved information about type locality, English name, etymology of Latin name and short range description. But information about detailed East European distribution, ecology and biology, taxonomy is curtailed as a rule. In this version search by means several filters such as “Host-plant”, “Gigro-” and “Bio-preferendum” is available. You would build up true conclusion about amount and quality of complete version of the work, we left image labels of all deleted images and, as mentioned above, we left all images for 50 representatives. This version is supplied with 548 photos (illustrations), which were made as in existence so in collection, 53 distributional maps are available also. In this version all possibilities of identification key have been completely saved, but quantity of identified taxons was cut up to 188. For mentioned number identification of all genera and 50 species and subspecies is available. The Key base includes 458 schemes or pictures.
